Firstly, I want to apologise for my 2 week blog absence, I have been really busy and have just not found the motivation to sit at my laptop and write! I can’t say it won’t happen again but I am super sowwy, hope this post makes up for it!
Now if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m a little bit nosey. I love watching those naf TV programmes where people look round each other’s houses, or watching room tours on YouTube. I also love seeing what other people have in their handbags. I like to think that the contents of one’s bag says a lot about a person, and these types of posts are a nice little insight into what personal belongings people carry around with them on a daily basis!
Now, I’m not the most organised person in the world. My bags more often than not end up with all kinds of crap, like old receipts, packets of tissues and loyalty cards that I’d never used more than once. But, since I recently bought myself a new bag, it hasn’t got itself to that stage (yet), I had thought about adding some cool things in here to make my life seem a little more exciting, buuut where’s the fun in that?
The bag itself is from River Island, and it’s a lovely grey faux suede slouchy tassel handbag. It’s a great size, not too big and not too small, it’s also not bulky or awkward to carry which I love, and the colour looks perfect with pretty much any outfit so it’s the perfect every day bag! So here’s what’s inside….
Paperchase A5 Day to View 2016 Diary: I love this Diary, I’m obsessed with the vintage Paris print, and I love that it is nice and big with a day to each page so I have plenty of room to scribble down reminders and lists and blog ideas. As I said, I’m not organised so I’ve really made the effort to try in 2016 and I actually have been using this diary and bringing it everywhere, rather than using it in the first week of January, writing all the important birthdays in it then shoving it in a draw, never to be used again!
iPhone 6s Rose Gold: I am one of those people who is slightly attached to their phone. If it isn’t on charge or in my bag, it’s probably in my hand. I recently treated myself to the iPhone 6s and I am obsessed… I couldn’t resist the gorgeous Rose Gold colour, and I opted for the 64gb version and there is sooo much space, which means I can hold my 4000 photos and download ALL THE APPS. I am particularly loving the Kendall and Kylie game at the moment, anyone else?!
TopShop Purse: Soo this purse doesn’t match my bag and it used to be a lot shinier and nicer, but it does the job! I always go for a big old purse with plenty of slots for all my rewards cards and loyalty cards and those receipts which you’re sure you’ve kept for a reason! Plus in the unlikely event I have any cash other than a few pennies and a few random foreign coins on me, it has plenty of space for that too! I think it would even fit my phone in, if I didn’t hoard so much junk in there.
Zara Oriental Perfume: So I’m not a particularly smelly person, or at least I like to think I’m not, but I always carry some sort of perfume or body spray in my bag in the event that I’ve walked out the door without applying any or I need a little refresher. This Zara perfume bottle isn’t the most practical to be carrying around in my bag, but it smells really lovely and it’s nice and affordable, so I won’t be too disheartened if I accidentally leave it somewhere or misplace it.
Tangle Teezer Compact Hairbrush: I literally do not leave the house without a Tangle Teezer, having waist-length hair which will knot if you even look at it, I rely on these little bad boys to keep my tresses in check. I actually own more Tangle Teezers than necessary, and keep them all over, in my room, car, clutch, etc, so that I never have to live the nightmare of a windy day, no hair tie and no Tangle Teezer. Trust me, that isn’t pretty.
Marc By Marc Jacobs Glasses: I think these are pretty self explanatory, my glasses help me to see far away things, and stop me from getting headaches and what not, so I like to carry them around with me at all times! I’m not sure of the name of this particular pair as they are about a year old now, but I bought them from Boots opticians after trying on a gazillion pairs, and I love them.
Hand Sanitizer: I’m sure I’m not the only one who always has hand sanitizer on them, actually ever since the swine flu scare in 2011 or whenever it was, I am never without a bottle! There’s actually a funny story behind this one, I went into Lloyds Pharmacy on my own trying to be responsible and that, I couldn’t find what I needed anywhere, I was too embarrassed to ask for it and I felt like I had been in the shop for too long without buying anything, soo I panicked and bought some hand sanitizer! This is why I shouldn’t adult.
Ted Baker Hand Cream: I get super dry hands, especially in the colder months, so I always like to carry around hand cream with me to keep my hands nice and smooth! This one is from Ted Baker and I got it in a gift set for christmas a few years ago, but it looks pretty and smells lovely!
Nyx Liquid Suede Lipstick: I normally carry around half my lipstick collection with my in my handbag, so having just the one is actually quite impressive for me! I love these Nyx Liquid Suede lipsticks, they last all day long and don’t smudge or run. This is shade Soft-Spoken and it’s the perfect colour for every day.
Tarte Glowlight Corrective Wand: I don’t like to carry around shed loads of makeup with me when I’m out and about, mostly because it’s just unnecessary to bring your whole makeup collection with you when you really only need to touch up slightly during the day. This Tarte concealer is perfect for this, as the only place I really struggle with during the day is my under eyes, and this is the perfect little pen to pop in your bag and refresh those dark circles throughout the day! It is really radiant and lightweight.
Bareminerals READY Blush: I really only carry this around with me as it’s a lovely sized mirror, but it is a gorgeous blush to have with you if you ever need to brighten up your cheeks. I think this rose gold packaging was a limited edition set, it came with another blush and a little brush and rose gold bag. I don’t know if you can sense a theme here with the rose gold?! The shade is called “The Sure Thing”.
Other Things: A few hair grips, a hair band and a biro pen. All these things are more important than you think! I have no idea where they came from or how they got in my bag, I just know that they’ll always be in there if I need them. I’m also thankful this pen hasn’t got a horribly chewed up lid.
SO! There you have it! That’s everything I’m currently carrying around with me in my little bag! I hope you enjoyed having a little, nosey insight to my personal belongings as much as I love peeking at everyone elses! Has this post inspired you to take a look into your bag? Will you maybe add any of these items to your own collection? Let me know in the comments!
Have a magical day,
