If you follow any of my social media you’ll know that last month I got back from Orlando, Florida. I had the most magical time visiting all the Disney Parks where I spent most of my money, but of course I couldn’t leave without doing a spot of shopping in Disney Springs. If you’re unsure of what Disney Springs is, it’s Disney World’s very own shopping centre full of your favourite stores such as Zara, Kate Spade, Alex and Ani and, you guessed it, Sephora! *Heart Eyes Emoji* Make up and Disney being my two favourite things, I couldn’t help popping in and getting a little spendy. The girls and guys at Sephora Disney Village are all so helpful and friendly, after about an hour in the store I left with 40 different lipstick swatches on my arm, a monochrome bag full of goodies and my purse feeling a lot lighter than before! Though there was sooo much I could have got, I tried to stick to my two favourite make up items: Lipsticks and Highlighters! So, let’s take a look at what I bought.
Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Palette
The Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette is definitely my favourite purchase in the haul. I’m convinced it was created in make up heaven, hand crafted by glowing angels. The gold packaging is luxurious and looks so glamorous on my dressing table. The mirror is amazing and the perfect size to do your makeup in, I love all the details in this palette, you can tell a lot of love has gone into designing it. Not only is it the most gorgeous palette I’ve ever owned, it also has 5 perfect shades of blush, bronze and highlight. Two Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop, Two Mineral Blushes in Amaretto and Pamplemousse as well as a Luminous Blush in Rose Spritz. Each shade was designed by Jaclyn Hill herself to be wearable for every skin tone, the shades are designed to be used alone or layered together for a unique look. Every shade in this palette is of excellent quality, they feel soft and give an amazing pigmentation. The palette retails for $52 dollars which may seem expensive but with one Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector costing £32 in the UK, this limited edition 5 shade palette for around the same price was impossible to leave on the shelf!
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in 1983 and Tampered
One of the stands in Sephora I probably spent a tad too much time lusting over was the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick stand. If you’re a lipstick addict like me you’ll probably have heard Urban Decay released a whopping 100 lipsticks in 6 different finishes, their biggest lipstick launch ever. I of course could have easily bought every single one if my bank balance didn’t have to suffer so much, instead after covering my arms in swatches I opted for two of the “Comfort Matte” finish shades in 1993 and Tampered. Being a creature of habit, I normally go for dark taupe/brown lipsticks so I was definitely drawn to these two! 1993 is the perfect 90s nude/brown lipstick shade and Tampered is a deep mauve. The packaging of these lipsticks is gorgeous, Urban Decay always seem to get packaging spot on! The lipsticks are more of a creamy finish than a matte, I would say. They’re very opaque but not as matte as I normally go for. They feel comfortable and moisturising on the lips and last around 4/5 hours before I need to reapply! I will definitely be collecting more of these Vice Lippies!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Ashton
I have been lusting over these Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks ever since they were first released, but alas they aren’t available in the UK! So I obviously had to seize the opportunity in Sephora, I had already written a list of the shades I wanted! Unfortunately the whole list was sold out, but I stumbled upon Ashton which I hadn’t been interested in until I saw it in person. This colour is so beautiful, it’s a gorgeous dark matte brick red lipstick which makes my autumnal heart flutter. I’ve already had so many compliments on this colour. The lipstick is great quality, has no smell which is a bonus and is doesn’t make my lips feel dry or sticky! Next time I make a trip across the pond I hope to get my hands on some more of these lovely lipsticks!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow
Last, but certainly not least in this haul is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in That Glow. I have wanted a Glow Kit for so long but never got around to purchasing one, so when I saw them shimmering away on the shelves in Sephora I couldn’t help slip one into my basket. I know some people might say buying two highlighter palettes in one shopping trip is a tad excessive, but after swatching this one in the store I couldn’t leave it there! That Glow comes with 4 warm toned highlighting shades. Sunburst is a pale yellow-gold shimmer, Golden Bronze is a warm coppery golden bronze shimmer, Bubbly is a shimmering soft champagne and Dripping in Gold is a shimmering champagne gold. I was slightly worried at first that some of these shades wouldn’t suit me and would be too warm for my skin, but I have already had so much wear out of all of them, both as highlighters and eyeshadows. These shades are so pigmented, they feel so soft and apply effortlessly to the cheek bones for a warm natural glow. I’ve certainly got no excuses to be without a flawless highlight now!
That concludes my Sephora haul! I am so happy with all the things I purchased, I love every one of them and can’t wait to put my face on every day with all these new products! I know I won’t be short of lipstick or highlighter anytime soon, that’s for sure! I hope you enjoyed having a read and maybe picked up some ideas on what to get on your next Sephora trip!
Now, if only they’d open Sephora in the UK…
