If you’re anything like me, you’ll hate shopping for foundation and concealer, more often than not a bottle will promise you perfect skin and long lasting finish, you’ll get it home and try it out and realise you’ve either got the complete wrong colour or it won’t work for your skin type. I have had this problem numerous times, and I did find the perfect foundation and concealer for me, however unfortunately found out this brand was testing on animals and I no longer buy from them. SO the hunt continued and I stumbled upon these two.
I have been a huge fan of NARS for a very long time and I really love their blushes and their multiple sticks, and I have no idea why it took me so long to try out this concealer and foundation! If you’re also on the hunt for the perfect foundation/concealer or just want to try something new then keep reading!
RADIANT CREAMY CONCEALER
“Coveted by artists for its luxurious texture and luminous finish, new Radiant Creamy Concealer evens skin with lightweight medium to high buildable coverage. Enriched with hydrating, multi-action skincare benefits and light diffusing technology, it creates a softer, smoother complexion while instantly obscuring imperfections and diminishing fine lines and signs of fatigue.”
I’ll admit, when I bought this concealer I didn’t really need it. I already had a concealer which I really love, however I wanted to buy a concealer which I can mix in to highlight under my eyes. I bought the shade Chantilly which is the lightest colour NARS do in this particular concealer and I have to say it is really light! I’m so impressed, being a super pasty gal all my life I have always struggled finding light shades that work for my skin, especially in the winter months.
The coverage you get with this concealer is really impressive, even though I use it mainly to highlight it is great to cover up my dark eye circles. I like to apply directly to my skin after foundation and then blend using a damp beauty blender and dabbing with my finger.
The packaging is a simple clear tube, with a doe-foot applicator which works great to apply the concealer where you want with just the right amount of product.
I am overall impressed with this concealer, it lasts for a long time and offers great coverage, as well as many different shades to chose from to suit your skin. However I have found it leaves a slightly powdery texture on my skin once it is dry, which can look slightly cakey, this means I can’t use this concealer in other places on my face where I already have dry skin. This concealer is available for £22 which is a little pricey which might put me off buying again in the future.
ALL DAY LUMINOUS WEIGHTLESS FOUNDATION
“Full, natural-looking coverage with unexpectedly weightless, 16-hour wear. Highly pigmented and perfectly balanced, this breakthrough formula builds and blends effortlessly with just one drop—the result of exclusive innovation uniquely designed to deliver long-wearing full coverage, weightlessly.”
I am suuuuper impressed with this foundation. I like a full coverage but I hate thick, heavy foundations. This is kind of a miracle product, it is a really liquid consistency which applies flawlessly. I like to apply it with a foundation brush then use a damp beauty blender to blend it out. It honestly doesn’t even look or feel like I’m wearing foundation, it’s just like a second, smoother and imperfection free, skin! This foundation comes in so many shades, I was colour matched for Mont Blanc which is the second lightest shade, if you don’t live anywhere near a NARS stockist you can use their foundation match tool on their website!
The packaging on this foundation is really lovely, with a sleek frosted glass bottle and a fantastic pump which means there is minimal mess and no wastage with this product.
I am so thrilled with this foundation and can definitely see myself using this all year round! The coverage is perfect for my skin, and it really does last all day! My skin looks so dewy and radiant when using this foundation and it is so lightweight and breathable, what more could you need from a foundation!? This product costs £32 and it is worth every penny! I have always been sceptical of high end foundations in the past, as many I have tried haven’t been great for the price but this one is certainly worth the investment!
Left: NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly, as you can see this is a very light shade, even lighter than my skin tone, which never happens for me! It has a matte finish.
Right: NARS All-Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Mont Blanc, this shade is the second lightest and is perfect for my skin tone as it has neutral, yellow tones and no pink tones. As you can see it is a really liquid consistency but dries evenly to a full coverage.
I really do recommend both these products, NARS is a fantastic brand which I am always impressed with. Though I am pleased with both these products, I am over the moon with the foundation and it is definitely one I will be repurchasing again and again! If you’re still not sure on spending so much on a foundation/concealer, why not ask your nearest NARS counter for a sample?
Have you tried either of these products, if so, what do you think? Will you maybe give these products a go? Let me know in the comments!
Have a magical day!
